The Killers - Sam's Town (Advance )(First Listen) 5/5

Brandon Flowers and his gang take us on a trip to Sam's Town for this, the second offering from The Killers that were a big success with their debut album 'Hot Fuss'. A lot of wonderings surrounded if they could follow it up after such a big debut and i'm pleased to say they have, topped it even perhaps, if not that easily on level playing field with Hot Fuss.

This album oozes indie rock beats with the almost robotic voices that guides us through the album on a tour of Sam's Town and reminds us that even if he doesn't look like jesus, as long as he talks like a gentleman then it's ok!

Still holding a raw edge to their music, they seem to have hit a seemingly heavier note in some areas, with more songs like the fast beats of 'Somebody Told Me'.

The Enterlude and Exitludes are a nice touch and really do help to introduce and exit the album in a very loving way that shows real time has gone into this album. This band is not a sell out, not a one hit wonder, they are here and appreciate them as they are a true talent and this albums shows that unless a lot changes, they are going to be here a while we hope.

Rarely an album grabs me on first listen but this one did!. An album of the year and easily 5/5.
